Miki Leal, a multidisciplinary Spanish artist, is known for using irony, going beyond traditional painting and challenging cultural "isms". Exhibited in a three-person presentation at the El Apartamento gallery booth, Leal's sophisticated paintings on paper were inspired by diverse cultural sources, including art, architecture, industrial design, film and music, with works that visually reference Matisse, Picasso, Delacroix, Le Corbusier, Loewy and Glenn Gould, while deftly combining abstract elements with figuration.

In their canvases they mix the 'quattrocento' with contemporary anxiety and a good dose of environmentalism. Dea Gómez and Diego Omil -or, in other words, the Bravús- are currently finalizing the details of an exhibition in Madrid.

From September 11 to October 26, the garden of Parque Florido is transformed into an open gallery that brings together the works of 14 artists from galleries belonging to Arte Madrid.
