El Apartamento, La Habana
Desde la quinta edición de La Bienal de La Habana, en 1994, las exhibiciones en el ámbito doméstico comenzaron a intervenir la dinámica expositiva y a modificar la planificación institucional de los recorridos. A las muestras colaterales, organizadas de manera autónoma por artistas y curadores, se sumaron los contenidos de los open studios. Este algoritmo, articulado de manera informal e intuitiva para el evento, cristalizó con la edición número doce de 2015, que sirvió a la presentación internacional de varios de los proyectos independientes más relevantes del escenario local. Entre ellos, El Apartamento.
El circuito del arte cubano ofrece un inventario del trabajo realizado por la galería y traza, a través de sus artistas, un mapa abierto de la XIII Bienal. La superposición de secuencias oficiales y alternativas, institucionales y domésticas, puede componerse en los pies de las obras que incluyen, junto a los datos técnicos, cada una de las presentaciones de sus autores en la muestra de 2019.
