The series of photographs La locura no tiene cura corresponds to a photographic essay carried out by the artist in Madrid during the events of 15M in 2015. The artist recorded in photo and video what happened in Puerta del Solo, where the young protesters gathered; and in certain environments of relaxation and rest, among which stands out the Bar La Locura, which was located until recently in a local of Muñoz Torrero Street, a few meters from our gallery. The demonstrators would go to this bar to have a drink in the evenings or a coffee in the mornings. A significant parallel is drawn between the demonstration and the party, and the artist is engaged in capturing the essence of a moment of great importance for the social memory of Spain, with all its nuances. These works are today, moreover, graphic memory of a Madrid that is diluted with time and runs the risk of being forgotten: the Madrid of La Locura (or Las Locuras). These works are part of the project presented by the artist in 2023 at the Teresa Margolles Artistic Residence in Madrid.
