Kerosene and beeswax on canvas
130 x 90 cm (51 x 35.4 in)

The artist symbolically and aesthetically uses the motif of the melted candle, which points to the very beginning of creation (inserted in the logic of birth and death), as well as to different key moments in the History of Western Art. The candles take on new life in the pictorial space. The mosaic resulting from this juxtaposition of wax and color, oblivion and memory, crystallizes in other ways of understanding art and life.
